Frequently asked questions.
How do I get started?
Enrolling at Core Pet Zone is easy, but there are a few steps to the process. We recommend enrolling with us at least a month before you wish to board or have your dogs play for a specific date. Learn more about how to enroll here!
What Does a Day Look Like for a Dog at Core Pet Zone?
A typical day for a dog at Core Pet Zone is both structured and engaging. The day begins with a morning breakfast at 6:30am alongside our caring staff. After breakfast, your dog enjoys some individual playtime before the main daycare group arrives. Daycare dogs begin arriving after 7am M-F, and 9am Sat. Throughout the day, dogs participate in various activities, including playtime in our large, fenced yards. The schedule is designed to ensure dogs get ample social interaction, exercise, and relaxation. Outdoor time is always a part of a day at CPZ but will vary and depend upon the day’s weather.
How Much Notice Should I Give Core Pet Zone?
It’s best to give Core Pet Zone as much notice as possible when planning daycare or boarding for your dog. You can request services through our online system up to 7pm the night before. Same-day or walk-ins are possible, but please call us at 651-636-1422 before arriving to check availability. This allows us to accommodate your pet and ensure we can provide the best care and attention. For specific scheduling needs or last-minute changes, please contact us directly to check availability.
How Much Time Do the Dogs Spend Outside?
The amount of time dogs spend outside at Core Pet Zone depends on the weather conditions. On pleasant days dogs will spend more time outside enjoying our big grass yards and running around with friends. On not so nice days—such as muggy, rainy or cold days— dogs will spend less time outside on these days but will go outside more often.
How Often Does My Dog Have to Come to Be Considered for Boarding?
To ensure your dog is comfortable and well-acclimated to our environment, we require that dogs have been in for daycare within the last 6 months before being considered for boarding. This helps us ensure a smooth transition and that your dog is familiar with our facility and routine.
What Info or Items Do I Need to Bring for My Dog’s Boarding?
When boarding your dog at Core Pet Zone, please complete a boarding card with your contact information, emergency contacts, and feeding instructions. We also ask you to bring your dog’s food and, if they use a crate for sleeping, their crate as well. This information helps us provide personalized care and maintain consistency in your dog’s routine.
What Times Can I Drop Off or Pick Up My Dog?
You can pick up or drop your dog off anytime during our open hours- see below. All daycare dogs must be picked up by close; we do not offer early drop off or late pickups. For boarding dogs, time of drop off does not impact price. A night of boarding is considered as the night they stay until 10am the next day. Daycare charges will incur after 10am the day of pickup.
Open Hours:
M-F 7am-6pm
Sa 9am-5pm
Su 10-11am & 4-5pm
If My Dog Has Allergies, Are They Given Treats?
If your dog has allergies or specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. We will ensure that your dog’s needs are accommodated, including avoiding any treats or toppings that might trigger their allergies. Providing detailed information on your dog’s dietary needs helps us keep them safe and healthy during their stay. Often times during the day we like to give vegetables as treats to accommodate allergies.
